Erica McGuinness, CA, CBV – Partner, M&A
Erica has spent more than 10 years advising business owners and entrepreneurs on their corporate finance and M&A activities. She joined Sequeira Partners in 2013 from EY’s transaction advisory practice. Erica has built her reputation on leading client service, with experience across multiple industries and business models. She holds a CPA, CA and CBV designation, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours) from the University of British Columbia. She is active in the community as a board member of viaSport and Chair of the Thunderbird Alumni Counsel at UBC. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, hiking the North Shore mountains, and improving her golf game at Marine Drive Golf Club.
Scott Acheson, CA, CBV, CFA – Partner, M&A
Scott brings over 10 years of accounting and corporate finance experience and is passionate about advising clients on their corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising needs. Scott enjoys working with clients and navigating the complexities of the M&A process. Scott has advised clients across a variety of industries including oilfield services and equipment, manufacturing, construction, transportation, as well as others. Scott is a CFA charterholder, a designated CPA, CA and CBV and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (honors) with Distinction from the University of Manitoba along with a Master of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Outside of the office, Scott enjoys playing hockey, snowboarding in the mountains, and volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Edmonton.
Kira Gregson, CA, CBV – Partner, Valuations & Advisory
Kira brings more than 10 years of experience in public practice accounting and valuations and advisory. Kira previously led the Edmonton valuations practice for one of the Big Four accounting firms. She enjoys working with clients to demystify the complexities that accompany valuations and provide clear and practical advice. She is experienced in providing business and security valuations to support transactions, shareholder disputes, tax planning and financial reporting requirements. Kira has advised companies across a range of industries including construction, oil and gas services, manufacturing and technology. Outside the office, Kira serves as a Director and Treasurer of Edmonton’s Royal Glenora Club. In her downtime, she enjoys fueling her coffee addiction and spending time with her husband and two young sons.
